  • European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Policy Consultations

    The EBRD is owned by 66 countries from 5 continents and two intergovernmental institutions, the European Union and European Investment Bank. It works together with the private sector, to invest in projects, engage in policy dialogue and provide technical advice, operating in more than 36 economies, from the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean, to Central and Eastern Europe, to Central Asia. EBRD operations span a range of industries, from agribusiness to infrastructure to transport.

  • HSE Consultation (CD283) on the implementation of new and revised Workplace Exposure Limits

    The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is consulting on the implementation of new and revised Indicative Occupational Exposure Limit Values (IOELVs) for thirty-one chemical substances to help protect workers from the ill-health effects of exposure to hazardous substances in the workplace. This implementation of Directive 2017/164/EU introduces this as the 4th list of IOELVs.

    This consultation relates to the IOSH collective response to the HSE regarding the above changes.

  • Independent Review of Building Regulations and Fire Safety

    Following the Grenfell Tower disaster, the Government has commissioned this Independent Review of Building Regulations and Fire Safety, led by Dame Judith Hackitt, which is now calling for evidence. Its terms of reference are found in Annex A and a list of regulatory system documents (not intended to be comprehensive) in Annex B.

  • GRI 403: Occupational Health and Safety Consultation

    The Global Reporting Initiative has provided an international framework for sustainability reporting for many years, the most used such framework in the world, and has recently converted it into a standard. It is now consulting on the health and safety content (GRI 403).

  • Grenfell Tower fire Public Inquiry Terms of Reference

    The scope of the Grenfell Tower Public Inquiry will be fixed by its Terms of Reference, which the Inquiry Team is now consulting on. It has outlined a non-exhaustive list of areas it may cover. It aims to ascertain the causes of the tragedy and ensure that the appropriate lessons are learnt.
