Simon Garrett 

Simon Garrett is a Chartered Fellow of IOSH and had a military career before becoming Operations Director of an International Exhibition Centre in London during which time he gained a Masters Degree in Management Practice and his full NEBOSH diploma.

In 2002 set up his own company, X-Venture Global Risk Solutions providing health, safety and security consultancy advising clients in the events industry on how to develop their safety and risk management processes. In 2007 he set up the eGuide which established the standards for exhibition venues and was chair of the eGuide committee for 5 years.

Simon is currently retained by a number of large international event organisers and venues and has developed a range of specific IOSH accredited courses for events including tailored international courses. X-Venture's risk management consultancy extends into security work looking at high end risk, disaster handling and business continuity planning.

Simon also facilitates a group of international event organisers, the G5 Group, which has produced the g-Guide on international health and safety standards for events. X-Venture';s client base now extends to events in Europe, Middle East, Africa, USA, South America, China, India and Russia.
