Paying tribute to Labour MP Frank Doran

The chair of IOSH’s Offshore group has paid tribute to the late Labour MP Frank Doran who died on 30 October at the age of 68.

Mr Doran was involved in campaigning for offshore health and safety improvements after the 1988 Piper Alpha disaster, and served as a Labour MP from 1987 to 1992, and 1997 to 2015.

Simon Hatson, Chair of the Offshore group said: “Our thoughts are with Mr. Doran's family at this time. His work to support the families of the Piper Alpha disaster and his campaigning for safety within our industry during his time as an MP will not be forgotten.”
