Shailesh Purohit

Committee member

Shailesh has been a member of the Hazardous Industry Committee since 2011. Shailesh has been working as a Process Safety Engineer for the last two and half years with CLH-Pipeline System Limited which operates Cross Country Pipeline and Storage facilities for mainly Aviation Fuel in the UK. He has been involved in operations and HSE aspects of COMAH sites since 2000.

Prior to CLH-PS, Shailesh has worked as the HSE Manager for Jotun Paints (Europe) Limited at their Manufacturing Site in Flixborough, Scunthorpe for over 13 years. He has degrees in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering/ Technology and Environmental Management Diploma in addition to NEBOSH Diplomas and has worked in research, plant operations and HSE aspects of Coating Manufacturing in various parts of the Country. He is a Chartered Member of IOSH (CMIOSH) and Associate member of the Institution of Chemical Engineers (AMIchemE). He is currently an Honorary Treasurer of the Oil and Colour Chemists Association (Trent Valley Branch) and a former Fellow of Surface Coatings Technology. Shailesh has contributed to the British Coatings Federation Safety Advisory Panel as part of his former employment with Jotun Paints.
