Chair's Update

IOSH Chair Update - October 2017

The Group had a very successful official launch on 07 September in the Zurich offices in London. We had excellent speakers and some great feedback.

The financial services sector encompasses the world touching every country, community and economy. We are privileged to work in a diverse and fast paced industry that touches every other economy, industry and every culture in the world.

The Financial Services Group is a new group. We are looking to encourage you to join this group if you work or have interest in any part of the industry or associated industries. We are looking to attract members who directly work in the financial services market and members who provide services to this industry, from loss adjusting to facilities management, data services, legal services to all employers and everything else that you can think of. The financial services sector is huge in its breadth and depth and through the creation of this new group which is specifically targeted at this industry we can help to ensure that IOSH has positive involvement and influence within the global financial services industry.

You will have heard that we have now have a Twitter account and our IOSH Financial Services LinkedIn Group is now live and available to join. Please join in the debate on our group and feel free to pass on to any of your colleagues who would be interested in joining.

We are currently setting plans for the next three years and formulating our annual range of events and webinars. Our first webinar on Ergonomics and Mental Health for Agile Workers and can be viewed here. Our next webinar is focussed on construction and you can register for your free place here. Further details of our networking events will be available early in the New Year.

If you have any suggestions or want to ask questions about networking opportunities please get in touch with me, or our Relationship Manager, Julie Littlejohns or use our LinkedIn page.

I look forward to networking with you soon and joining you on our webinars.
