Paul Williams

EWMG committee member and Assistant Treasurer

Paul has spent 14 years in banking and 18 years working in the health service. He has built up an extensive knowledge of facilities management in that time especially, in the areas of health & safety, waste management and budget management.

Paul is also a Member of IEMA, of CIWM, and a Chartered Environmentalist. He has a degree in Business Administration, supported by NEBOSH National Diplomas in both Health & Safety and also Environmental Management.

Keen on most sports, Paul used to organise athletics and cross country running events and in the past held various committee roles in sports clubs. Being a family man, Paul now is more focussed on keeping himself fit by swimming 2/3 times a week and doing the occasional bike ride.

Paul’s key area of interest now is the interaction of health & safety with waste management and vice versa - showing how good waste management practices lead to good health & safety practices.

Paul has given a number of presentations on these subjects and had the privilege of delivering a talk at the World Health Organisation in Geneva to an international working group on Healthcare Waste Management.
