Ewhen Hasioszyn

EWMG Vice chair

Ewhen Hasioszyn (Ian) is employed by Univar as Health, Safety and Environmental Manager - UK and Ireland.  His key responsibilities are to provide leadership and guidance in all EHS matters to ensure that the business operates within legislative requirements.

He attended the University of London from where he graduated with a B.Sc. (Hons) and went on to gain a M.Sc. in Chemical Analysis with distinction from Thames Polytechnic (subsequently University of Greenwich).  He holds the NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health with distinction in Safety Technology.   In 2013, he was awarded the LLM distinction (Master of Laws) by the University of Huddersfield.

Ian is currently the Vice Chair of the Environmental and Waste Management Group.  He has been a member of the Yorkshire Branch for over 20 years, having served in various roles including as a committee member, Vice Chair and Chair; becoming the Immediate Past Chair in April 2016.  He is also Vice Chair of the Chemical Business Association’s Health, Safety and Environment committee and a member of their Responsible Care committee. 

In 2014, he was awarded the IOSH President’s Distinguished Service Award and is a Chartered Fellow of IOSH.

He is married to Jenny and has two children, Lara and Alexander.
