1 December 2015

Yorkshire Branch committee members organised a regional branch meeting discussing Occupational Road Risk.

Introduction

This meeting attracted a large attendance of 90 IOSH members and guests who wanted to learn about operational road risk and fleet management. Our thanks go to Wakefield City Council Fleet Enforcement & their Training Co-ordinator who were very supportive of this meeting, providing speakers Dave Wilcock, Colin Stanworth, Guy Marley and Shane Jackson.

Driving for work is a key role of many employees. However, it is one of the most dangerous activities carried out on a daily basis. Managing fleet safety can be complex depending on the size of an organisation. This meeting looked at many areas of fleet management offering guidance and some techniques that can be used to help managers.
