2018 AGM nominations

Nominee: Emma James
Position: Committee Member
Supporting Statement: I am passionate about health and safety. I am forward thinking and always looking for ways to collaborate and continually improve.
I have a BSc (HONS) in Environmental Health and I currently work in a Further Education Institution.
I can offer a fresh approach, enthusiasm and an engaging attitude to health and safety.

Nominee: Gary Tapley
Position: Secretary
Supporting Statement: I have chaired and run committees for years and understand the roles required in an organisation. Collaboration and communication are key attributes for this role and these are attributes I have.

Nominee: Seamus Doyle
Position: Committee Member
Supporting Statement: I have been working in the public housing industry at Pobl Group and formerly Pembrokeshire Housing Group now Ateb Group Limited as SHE Manager for the past 3 years. Previous to this I spent 4 years as SHE Manager in the leisure industry, 6 years as SHE Manager in construction and utilities covering Wales and the South West of the UK and 14 years prior to that in utilities as a health and safety advisor covering South Wales.
I am particularly interested in the people who 'do the job' after all the health and safety measures and controls have been put into place, not just the professionals who implement them. I would like to try to bring these people to branch meetings to share their knowledge and experiences.
In the last 12 months I have been appointed Chair of the Community Housing Cymric Fire Safety Strategy Group covering all of Wales and I am also a member of the National Social Housing Fire Strategy Group.

Nominee: Mike Garner
Position: Committee Member
Supporting Statement: I have been a committee member since 2013 and I would like to continue with this.

Nominee: Tom Cullen
Position: Chair
Supporting Statement: I have been actively involved with the West Wales Branch of IOSH since its inception 4-years ago, and prior to that the West Wales District. I would like to continue the good work that the Branch and Committee Members have carried out over the past years, as I believe that I have the qualities and drive to move the Branch forward on its journey of improvement.
