We believe one of our key duties is to encourage and help members to develop their career prospects by achieving Chartered IOSH membership.

The South Wales Branch organises a number of professional development seminars; these are run throughout the year, in conjunction with various health and safety recruitment agencies who are also represented at our monthly Branch meetings.

Continuing professional development (CPD) is a key requirement that all members are required to undertake. A development plan must be written and we advise that this is updated every three months. You should undertake at least six activities every year, which need to be recorded through MyIOSH; again, this should be updated on a quarterly basis.

The volunteer committee are on hand to help with any general CPD or IPD questions.

If you have any specific questions relating to CPD, IPD, grades of Membership or want to update your details please speak to the Membership Department on 0116 257 3198 or email membership@iosh.com.
