Public Services Section

Networks Conference 2011

The Public Services Section is here to meet the professional development needs of our members working in public and independent services, including primary care, acute services, mental health, ambulance services, police, fire, social services, health promotion and learning disabilities.

Public services consume vast amounts of money, accounting for between 6.5 and 14 per cent of gross domestic product in the developed world. Therefore they deserve the very best health and safety expertise.

Every year, we organise events in our area and choose topics that are identified as areas of interest through the feedback we receive from members. It is a great opportunity to network with like minded people, sharing both information and expertise. We have an exciting programme of events planned for 2013 designed to challenge us to look at our strengths and weaknesses in dealing with a diverse workforce.

We also welcome your feedback and suggestions for future activities. Please feel free to contact any of the committee below with any suggestions you may have.
