Darren Anthony Brunton - Immediate Past Chairman

After 3 years as the Singapore Branch Chairman working with a great team of Exco members and branch members I have personally gain a great deal from this period while the branch has become more recognised in the Singapore frame work. I now look forward to supporting the branch from the position of Immediate Past Chairman and assisting the Chairman Bhupendra Singh to continue the growth of IOSH and the Singapore Branch and promoting safety, and health throughout the communities in Singapore and beyond.

I was a commercial diver (saturation diver) after leaving the UK Armed Forces and having been exposed to some high risk situations and near death experiences, I now get by ‘kicks’ and ‘personal satisfaction’ by promoting safety and providing opportunities of individuals to develop their own careers and competence in their chosen career path – with safety as a lead area of competence and development – in my day job I am the Managing Director of an Offshore / Marine Safety Consultancy and Training Organisation. I am now a Chartered Fellow of IOSH and contribute to various work groups, committees and forums in developing safety standards and best practice.

I value my time with my family which includes my wife, daughter and pet dog, the time spent with the family is a driving force and key to building a successful healthy life style and business.
