Ellie Apperly

Ellie works for BP as the North Sea’s Well Intervention and Seismic HSE Adviser.

She has been in this role since Janurary 2014 and prior to that was working out in Oman for several years on a new tight gas project.

Ellie started her career back in 2004 working in emergency planning and business continuity planning for local authority and then gained corporate HSE in 2007 as an additional responsibility.

Ellie undertook her NEBOSH General Certificate and then went on to complete the NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety in 2007. Specific areas of interest are fire, legionella, ergonomics and process safety.

Ellie became a graduate member of IOSH in 2007 and undertook the role of secretary of IOSH Oman.

As a way of relaxation, Ellie is very keen on triathlon and lives at a loch so she can swim on a regular basis. She has recently discovered the joys of gardening but has not yet managed to keep anything alive!
