Career

I worked for a global IT Solutions company for 22 years, starting out in administration and project management, then in 2000 I moved into a Health and Safety role, initially as a Site Safety Officer, and then in 2003 was promoted to HS&E Manager for the UK South Region.  My role was to provide expert advice on health and safety matters and improve and maintain safety standards across the region. This included carrying out site visit and audits, liaising with safety officers and managers, and providing safety training at all levels.   I gained my NEBOSH National Diploma in July 2008 and I am now a Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health.

Previously I worked in sales and marketing, gaining an HNC in Business and Finance in 1992, and the Chartered Institute of Marketing Diploma in 2000.
