October 2015 – today

I provide ad hoc health and safety advice and support to this firm and their clients on an as and when basis.

September 2016 – June 2017   BES Ltd           H&S  Adviser, GSK Ware Ellipta 4 Project

I provided H&S Advice for this project involving the refurbishment of production areas of the GSK factory at Ware prior to the installation of new production lines

September 2014 – March 2015

Staffordshire County Council                                                                                  CDM Co-ordinator

This project involves the replacement of a road over rail bridge to open up a site for commercial development. The works will require substantial piling works and the protection of a large water main.

May  2014 – March 2016

Transport for London        - London Tramlink                                                        CDM Co ordinator

I was contracted to TfL as CDM C on the Wimbledon Line Enhancement project. This involved co-ordinating with Network Rail at the Wimbledon station end where enabling works are progressing and the upgrade of the power supply to the tramway network to accommodate the increased traffic. On completion of this work I carried out a review of the H&S management system for the business


June 2007 to April 2014

Transport for London        - Streets                                                          CDM Co ordinator

I was contracted to TfL as CDM C on their street works projects. These included major road improvements on the main London corridors such as the Bounds Green project (£65m), Tottenham Gyratory (£40m) and the Cycle Hire and projects,several Cycle Superhighway, three river projects and the London Tramlink WLEP. This ended when TfL Streets cancelled their contract. I was subsequently re contracted to complete the London Tramlink part of the work.

I worked as a Planning Supervisor later to become CDM Co ordinator for this company on several significant projects including the Heron Tower and Cannon Place Office blocks in the City, 3 DLR projects in connection with the Olympic Park in London, and development projects for  London South Bank University

January 2006 to April 2006                                                      Project SHEQ Specialist

Network Rail

I covered this role for the S&T Major Projects Division in Birmingham whilst the incumbent had major surgery. My duties included, reviewing Health and Safety Plans for large rail signalling investment projects on the London and North Western area, providing expert support to managers, undertaking site inspections, audits and investigations and producing reports and analysis.

May 2005 – September 2005                                         Environment Health and Safety Manager

General Electric Corporation

Short term contracts in connection with the overhaul of gas turbines and other heavy plant at the Spalding Energy Company Ltd (Intergen) power station, and at Medway Power Station (Scottish and Southern Energy). My duties included writing the Health and Safety Plans, representing GE at meetings with the clients, carrying out audits and inspections, accident and incident reports and analysis. During this work a period 0f 500000 working hours without a reportable accident was achieved.
