Chair's message

Mid Shires – Chair’s message – Quarter 1 2018

Welcome to the first of a series of 2018 communications from your Branch Chairman aimed at inspiring you our members to influence enhance and collaborate with colleagues and others in the community as we seek to ensure the safety, health and welfare of those around us whilst also seeking to enrich the lives of those we touch at the same time.

Whether you are a time served veteran with years of experience or someone just starting out seeking to influence the decision makers in your organisation, we believe that there is something for everyone at Mid Shires with a program of events aimed at supporting you and enhancing your knowledge to ensure we inspire the next generation of professional.

Our first meeting in January was a great success with a bumper audience filling the room to listen to Clive Raybould give a talk on Fire Safety in 2018.

We hope for more of the same in February as we continue with our theme of collaboration, enhance and influence with a special regard for those young workers going into the world of work for the first time. Providing a safe and open environment for people to express their views and opinions at a young age ensures a rich mix of emotions are understood and that which is important today can also be valued tomorrow.

We hope that the list of topics we have included in our 2018-19 program provides a little something for everyone as we seek to make the workplace a safer and prosperous environment for all of us.

I look forward to welcoming you at our next branch meeting

Andrew I. Butler
