Committee Recruitment

London Metropolitan Branch are always looking to recruit passionate and committed Branch members, to join us in our quest to develop activities in the local area, and become involved with initiatives designed to achieve the IOSH vision of improving occupational health and safety. We provide a forum for members in a health and safety field to network and further their professional development.

Committee testimonials

"I had always been a little reticent about getting involved in an IOSH committee, but having made the decision to go along to a committee meeting and find out more I was hooked.  I was immediately made to feel very welcome and have nothing but positive things to say about joining.  There is a genuine desire to do things for the benefit of members and everybody has a valued voice.  The committee is a very supportive family that have become my friends and helped me develop both professionally and personally.” (Nigel Burgess, Past Chair)

"At my first branch meeting requests were made for new committee members, I had no idea what I was letting myself in for, but I am so glad I took the leap of faith as the team made me feel welcome from the start. The committee are a fantastic blend of individuals from a wide spectrum of professional backgrounds that all come together with the aim to make a difference which can only be to the benefit of our members. As for me I have a new bunch of friends and I am having fun. Volunteering is so rewarding and I hope that I can go on to make a difference in our industry. (Anne Isaacs, Vice Chair)
