Construction Network

Our main objective is to improve health and safety standards in the construction industry on the Isle of Man.

We aim to hold a minimum of four meetings a year on key safety issues in construction. Our meetings are open to anyone who can help improve safety in this high-risk sector. Non-IOSH members are always welcome.

Our focus is on promoting a practical approach to health and safety.

Crellin

My career in the construction industry spans over   33 years to date this is spilt into two sectors Building and Civils. During this period I held various positions from Site Manager, Site Works Manager, Engineer and now currently hold the position of Project Engineer  for the Department of Infrastructure’s Highways Services Division. This involves the control of all Health & Safety for all construction projects from start to finish including the management of the contracts from start to completion and handover.

I am a well respected individual within the industry both in the Department and in private industry, I have worked abroad on large and small projects and now work mainly on the island. I have recently been awarded Chartered Construction Manager status from the CIOB and also hold a position on the local branch of the committee.

I have just completed phase 1 of Douglas Promenade and have been working with the design team and Burroughs Stewarts on the completion of the next phases.
