Joe Guilfoyle CMIOSH

Joe holds industry trade qualifications in Metal Fabrication, Construction and Civil Engineering Management and has a Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health, he is a Chartered member of IOSH.

Joe worked with a German Engineering company for six years fabricating heavy machinery and plant for the agriculture and forestry industries, he then moved into the construction industry initially self-employed and then working for Principal Contractors in a management capacity. Joe eventually moved into a health and safety role and has worked on Major Projects (£50 million+) over the last ten years.

Joe’s roles on Major Projects have included leading up a team of health and safety professionals on a £500 million major civil engineering project. He has extensive experience in Behavioural Safety and is currently the lead trainer in his current role with Sir Robert McAlpine. Joe has worked in the USA, Australia and London and is now based permanently in Edinburgh and is looking to offer more assistance to his local Edinburgh Branch. Joe’s hobbies include running, cycling and he is a big boxing fan.
