Dr Karen E. McDonnell, CFIOSH, CBiol MIBiol, MIPD, AIEMA

In her role as Head of RoSPA Scotland and Occupational Health and Safety Policy Adviser Karen is responsible for the delivery of the Charities’ mission and vision within her sphere of influence.

A Chartered Fellow of IOSH, Karen is a member of IOSH Edinburgh Branch Executive Committee she chairs Professional Organisations in Occupational Safety and Health (POOSH) Scotland and represents the POOSH Scotland membership on the Partnership on Health and Safety in Scotland Committee. Karen is also immediate past President of IOSH.

For the last 100 years RoSPA have campaigned for change in health and safety standards in the workplace, on the road, in the home and during leisure activities. Accidents and cases of work related ill health do not need to happen and events such as the National Safety Council of Australia conference provide opportunities for the global community to come together share experiences, understand what works and connect around the issues which will help us safeguard the health and safety of our workers, and take the next steps in reducing the global burden of injury which is to the benefit of us all.
