Simon Hatson

Branch committeeSimon has worked in the offshore Industry since 2012, working initially within the Marine sector before joining Aquaterra Energy as their Head of QHSE & Business Improvement, responsible for all Company operations worldwide.  Simon is currently the Chair of the IOSH Offshore Group.

Prior to the Offshore Industry Simon worked within the Food & Drink Industry for 18 years in various Health & Safety Management positions.  During this time Simon served as the Vice Chair of the IOSH Food and Drink Group, as well as sitting on a number of industry Forums & committees including those with the HSE and the FDF.  Simon was awarded the IOSH Presidents award in 2012 for Contributions to Health & Safety in Manufacturing within the Food & Drink Industry.

Simon holds the MSc & PgC in Occupational Health and Safety Management, was the winner of the IOSH Bright Spark Award in 2014 for his research project completed as a part of his Master’s Degree seeking to challenge the variances in employee engagement with Health & Safety, and became CFIOSH in 2015.

During his membership with IOSH Simon has been a frequent speaker at IOSH events & other international conferences, a contributor to industry & external publications, has also fulfilled the role of Mentor, and supported the Peer Review Process for both prospective Chartered and Fellow members.
