IOSH Caribbean Branch Display Booth #30 at Amcham’s T&T 20th Anniversary HSSE Conference and Exhibition

17 November 2016

Once again the IOSH Caribbean Branch hosted a booth at the recently concluded AmCham’s 20th Anniversary HSSE Conference and Exhibition held at the Hyatt Regency, Trinidad and Tobago from 8 - 9 November 2016. On this occasion, over 85% of visitors to the booth expressed a desire of either becoming a member or learning more about IOSH, and this interest was as a result, in part, of a feature presentation of the IOSH Blueprint delivered by Mrs. Carolyn Issitt, Head of Development at IOSH. Participants at the Conference expressed a willingness to know more about the IOSH Blueprint tool and how their organisations can implement such a tool.

The many visitors to the booth included the newly appointed Energy Minister, Mr. Franklyn Khan; the Minister of Labour, Mrs. Jennifer Baptist-Primus and Mr. Ravi Suryadevara, President AMCHAM T&T.

Most of the members of the Executive Committee made their presence felt at the booth at one time or other as interested visitors sought answers on the role of IOSH in the Caribbean.

Our door prize, which was fully subscribed, consisted of two books and a video, and was won by Ms. Crystal Benjamin of Angostura Limited.

IOSH had an overwhelming response at this year’s 20th Anniversary HSSE conference and exhibition.
