The IOSH Caribbean Branch hosted a booth at the two-day AMCHAM TT HSSE Conference and Exhibition, held at the Hyatt Regency, Trinidad and Tobago from 14 to 15 November 2017. Over one hundred participants from across the private and public sectors visited the booth, several of whom expressed interest in becoming an IOSH member.

The booth display included a wealth of information, such as IOSH’s No Time To Lose (NTTL) information booklets, IOSH Training Programs, the benefits of being an IOSH member, membership categories, IOSH Work 2022 five year strategy, and the IOSH Caribbean Branch’s vision, mission, aims and objectives.

The many visitors to the booth included Senator the Honourable Paula Gopee-Scoon, Minister of Trade and Industry; Dr. Victor Combs, Chairman of OSH Authority and one of the principal presenters; teachers, and students. They were all enthralled with the display and quality of information available relating to IOSH as a professional body.

Most members of the Executive Committee were present at the booth to lend support and share information to the interested persons, inclusive of LeKeisha Jordon, Barbados Country Coordinator, IOSH CB.

Books were distributed as door prizes – Health and Safety in a Changing World by Robert Dingwall, and a Revolutionary and Innovative Concept of the Changing Context of Health and Safety Policy by Shelley Frost.
