Chair - Curt Cadet

Curt’s career began on a five year apprenticeship, graduating as a machinist in 1979. He then shifted to instrumentation and controls for 16 years before assuming the role of health and safety manager in a power company in 1995.Curt has also worked in power plants in Jamaica and a water desalination plant in Curacao.

In 2007 Curt was appointed HSSE Manager for a direct reduced iron plant and in 2012 moved to the oil and gas industry supply chain – ASCO, as HSEQ Manager.

He holds diplomas in:

  • Instrumentation and Controls
  • NEBOSH levels 4 and 6 diplomas
  • Ccertificate in Machine Shop Practice

He lectured for the NEBOSH Certificate and diploma courses for several years, and is a certified ISO 14001 Lead Auditor. Curt is the former chair of the Point Lisas Energy Association (PLEA), sub-committee for HSE management and was instrumental in the development of the PLEA Contractor Passport programme. Curt currently serves as co-chair of the health, safety and environment committee of the American Chamber Of Commerce (ACOC).
