The National Safety and Health Conference is a key event in the OSH calendar for safety and health professionals working in or with the public sector.

The National Safety and Health Conference (NSHC) is proud to have run its 42nd year in 2017, and is a key event for safety and health professionals primarily in the public, healthcare, education, environmental and waste management sectors. However, the topics covered were also relevant to the safety and health community as a whole.

This year’s conference was held on 14 September 2017 at the Nottingham Belfry Hotel, and was a great success attracting over 155 health and safety practitioners from across the country, including a variety of exhibitors.

With the diverse programme of inspirational speakers from within the industry, delegates listened to and got involved with interactive presentations discussing occupational health issues. These included hearing about the HSE Health and Work Programme, getting involved with, and understanding wellbeing and resilience at work based on real evidence, as well as learning about a case study on implementing staff health and wellbeing, a personal story of breakdown and recovery, how to make safety conversations effective and an informative legal update.
