Registration opens at 8.30am

08.30 – 9:00 Registration and free breakfast roll, tea/coffee

09:00 – 9.25 Welcome and introductions EMWWT

Rolling Programme of practical ‘live’ demonstrations, along with one classroom session, on the following topics:

  • Plant Management / Plant Safeworking / Telehandler Tilt Testing-Apple Construction Training
  • No Time to Lose campaign -IOSH -
  • Scaffolding –Safety & Access Ltd
  • MEWPS –Banner Plant Hire
  • Diabetes in construction –Kate Walker
  • Exhibitors –Caterpillar, JSP, Apple, CITB, IOSH, OMS, Spanset
  • 12.45 –13:00 Closing remarks / Event Feed Back Evaluation and opportunity for networking

No Dress code (site clothes are acceptable) delegates should bring their own safety boots, & hi visibility clothing.

Demonstrations are outside , so please wear appropriate clothing.

All delegates will receive an attendance certificate.

What's in it for you?

The meeting is an opportunity to either learn or update skills and knowledge. Attendance at the meeting may contribute towards a Members CPD programme. Our meetings are informal and provide those attending the opportunity to meet fellow members to discuss a variety of safety related issues.

The meeting open to IOSH Members but non-members are more than welcome to attend.

What you need to know

The WWT Group, supported by the Health & Safety Executive and IOSH(Institution of Occupational Safety and Health), is holding a free half-day event aimed at: Managers, Operatives & supervisors. The event aims are to raise awareness of construction related risks and the safety critical functions when using construction related plant, safe use of scaffolding and to also raise the awareness of diabetes and cancer in construction. This is one of a series of free partnership events run by the industry for the industry, as part of the UK-wide Working Well Together (WWT) construction industry health and safety initiative. There will also be opportunities to meet the specialist manufacturers and Exhibitors, seek advice and receive updates from industry experts on key working at height topics. If you are a construction client, contractor or self-employed then this free half day event is a must.
