Overview

This seminar discusses the complex issue of Reasonable Adjustments.   Repeated absence from work causes real problems for employers, it can not only increase workload for other staff members, it can damage productivity, staff morale and the workplace dynamic. Absence from work costs the UK economy over £10 billion per annum.

Employers have a duty to make ‘Reasonable Adjustments’ to accommodate the needs of individual employees but this often causes confusion and worry. How far do I need to go in accommodating needs? If an adjustment is not made, is this likely to develop into litigation?  It is a legal requirement that Reasonable Adjustments should be made but what exactly is ‘Reasonable’?

Posturite Ltd have worked with businesses for over 20 years now addressing musculoskeletal disorders – the second largest contributor to absence from work. We work with Occupational Health, HR and Safety teams across the UK assessing and advising on workplace ergonomics.

Speakers: Keith Land, Katherine Metters, Margaret Murray, and Dallas Newton.
