The IOSH Public Services Group is delighted to confirm the creation of a pre-recorded online webinar which is looking at contract management. Being delivered by Dr Clive Werrett, Corporate Health and Safety Manager with Worcestershire County Council, this webinar is being run to emphasise the need for a contract management plan, and to identify key principles for contract management, expanding on how these fit into the PDCA management system. Reviewing each principle, Clive will review procurement services involving health and safety, and will use case studies identify where contract management has improved services and common pitfalls.

What's in it for you?

Life in the public sector today is about change and challenge.  Change is ongoing, and concerns the outsourcing of services to the private sector.  The challenge is to ensure that services are delivered to the same or enhanced standard more efficiently.  The 'game' is contract management and this often becomes a problem after the contract has been awarded.  Planning for contract management should be part of the procurement exercise but usually deteriorates to a series of KPIs hastily assembled just before the contract is signed.  This presentation sets out the basis for contract management so that suppliers can be properly held to account.

In joining this webinar, you can expect to develop more understanding and awareness of the need to plan for contract management as part of the procurement process
