The presentation will be following the work flow for COSHH assessment based on the theory behind COSHH essentials. 

The task based practical approach to COSHH helps with decision making for control measures and health surveillance. 

We will be following some worked examples through the process to illustrate the guided decision making process for control measures and health surveillance requirements, and demonstrating tool box talk techniques for use of LEV systems.

Speakers: Julian Dowson and Amanda Dowson - Directors at Peritus Health Management. Julian Dowson is a director of an Integrated Occupational Health and Hygiene company working to support businesses achieve robust and practical health risk management through good physical and procedural controls. As a BOHS trained Occupational Hygienist, Julian seeks not only to undertake workplace monitoring, but uses his experience and knowledge to encourage action planning to reduce risks further. Amanda Dowson has worked in the field of Occupational Health since 1992 and has a wealth of experience in both the public and private sectors. Amanda has supported Small and Medium Size Enterprises and Blue Chip International companies by delivering cost-effective Occupational Health services and advice. She is keen to ensure that excellent clinical standards and implementation of best practice benefits the customers and their employees alike. Amanda also supports student Occupational Health Advisors with training and placements within her organisation.
