Overview

The IOSH Financial Services Group is pleased to confirm its next planned webinar, with this one reviewing CDM 2015 Regulations. We welcome Jason Williams, Crawford & Company to IOSH to deliver this session which is designed to update you on the CDM 2015 Regulations and explain how they work in everyday situations for projects that are domestic within the insurance industry.

Working for Crawford & Company as a CDM Manager, Jason mages a small CDM unit within a large claims management organisation, predominantly working in refurbishment works following insurance claims. After two years of working with the new regulations, Jason is running this webinar to review CDM 2015 Regulations and explain how Crawford & Company are now managing and ensuring CDM compliance.

What's in it for you?

CDM applies to all building and construction work.  This includes new build projects, demolition, refurbishment, building extensions, repairs and maintenance work.  All tasks from arranging maintenance or minor work need time and thought to plan the work and manage it safely.

A survey looking into the impact of CDM 2015 published by Construction Manager suggested that many companies were finding the principles of CDM 2015 difficult and that:

  • a workable system had possibly been made less workable
  • fees and costs had increased but without any necessary improvements in health, safety and welfare
  • the goal of bringing smaller projects and domestic clients into scope had not yet come about.

Who should attend

This webinar is open to all health and safety professional that are required to have a working knowledge of the CDM regulations to advise clients.
