Dr Judith Grant will present the strategic case for supporting health and wellbeing at work. This will cover:

  • What is Workplace wellbeing? 
  • How can an organisation develop a sustainable strategy for health and wellbeing – wellbeing must be more than an initiative
  • Why Wellbeing is critical to Health and Safety performance.
  • Collaboration between H&S and HR teams in the management of wellbeing.
  • Case Studies –the development of the Mace Health and Wellbeing 2022 Plan and The Feeling First Class programme at Royal Mail.

Speaker: Dr Judith Grant - Director of Health and Wellbeing, Mace Group

Dr Judith Grant is Director of Health and Wellbeing at Mace Group and is responsible for strategic wellbeing, occupational hygiene and occupational health delivery across the international construction and consultancy organisation. As the former Group Head of Occupational Health and Wellbeing at Royal Mail Group Judith achieved success in developing and delivering wellbeing strategy and programmes in addition to overseeing occupational health and wellbeing contracts. With a background that includes working in community health for a local authority, in corporate health promoting wellbeing programmes to businesses and personal training both for a gym and privately, Judith has a varied background in health and wellbeing promotion.

Having completed her PhD in Occupational Health Psychology and Management at the University of Nottingham School of Medicine, Judith has an interest in academic research on workplace wellbeing; her thesis focused on socioeconomic status, obesity and dietary behaviours. Judith is a Trustee of two charities: the Men’s Health Forum, a charity with the ambition for all men and boys - particularly those in the most disadvantaged areas and communities – to have the information, services and treatments they need to live healthier, longer and more fulfilling lives and the Mace Foundation, a charity set up to donate 1% of Mace profits to charitable causes in the communities they work, each year. Judith is a Graduate member of IOSH and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
