Overview

Paul believes that it is important that manual handling training is tailored to the individual and the task. One size does not fit all. This session will include consideration of key factors that can affect an individual’s ability to undertake manual handling tasks safely and at ways of managing workplace manual handling tasks.

Members are encouraged to take part in an interactive discussion with speakers during the meeting and to network with other members over tea or coffee and mince pies after the meeting.

Who should attend

Any IOSH member is always welcome to attend our meetings.

What you need to know

Booking not required.

There is ample parking on site.

The hotel is a five minute walk from Grange-over-Sands railway station.

The railway line connects with the west coast main line at Carnforth and Lancaster.

The 6X bus route between Kendal, Ulverston and Barrow-in-Furness stops at Grange-over-Sands station.
