Overview
This event will be led by the Community Firefighters who are located in Bury, Greater Manchester, at the largest firefighter training facility in the UK. The purpose built Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service Training and Safety Centre is designed to inform visitors of all ages about how to protect themselves against fire and other dangers.
'The visit that could save your life' will introduce you to the work of Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service and allow you to experience their impressive immersive theatre, which will provoke your senses with the smell of smoke, the heat of fire and the sound of sirens to put you at the heart of the action. There will be a walkaround tour of the Centre and the chance to witness a recreated scenario.

What you need to know
Please arrive no later than 11.45am, so that you can sign in at Reception.
A buffet lunch is provided for you at 12noon in the café area and the event will begin promptly at 12.30pm with a tour of the Training Centre. There will be a short refreshment break during the afternoon.
Free parking is available on site.
