How to become an IOSH Training provider
There are four steps to becoming an IOSH
Training provider who is licensed to deliver any of the IOSH
courses.
Step 1
Decide which IOSH health and safety training course you want to
become licensed to deliver.
Step 2
Choose whether you want to buy one of the off the shelf training
packages, like Managing safely or
Working safely, or write your own training course and get it IOSH
approved.
Step 3
We’ll ask you to complete a trainer application form so we can
see your health and safety qualifications and training
experience.
To deliver training as an organisation you'll need to:
- ensure all trainers wishing to deliver an IOSH course
have:
- a level 3 Occupational Safety and Health
qualification (equivalent to A-level standard)
- at least two years' training
experience (with a minimum 50 per cent face-to-face delivery), or a
level 3 qualification in training
- have your trainer(s) attend a familiarisation training day at
IOSH
- provide three references for all trainers who intend to deliver
IOSH approved courses at director level and above (check with IOSH
for acceptable references)
- have a nominated IOSH member, with line management
responsibility, employed by the company, who'll make sure everyone
who delivers our courses meets our delivery standards.
Step 4
Once you've been approved as an IOSH Training provider,
we’ll offer you continuing support
and guidance. You'll also be able to request use of the IOSH logo
to help you promote your courses.
