IOSH at Safety and Health Expo 2011
17 May 2011
Today (17 May) is the first day of IOSH
exhibiting at the Safety and Health Expo 2011.
This year’s event takes place from Tuesday to Thursday 17 – 19
May, at the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) in Birmingham,
and is supported by IOSH, the Royal Society for the Prevention of
Accidents (RoSPA) and the British Safety Industry Federation
(BSIF).
After a crucial 12 months for health and safety, IOSH will be at
Safety and Health Expo in Hall 2, stand R80, to help explain what
the new political climate will mean for health and safety
professionals, as well as providing them with advice and
guidance.
Hazel Harvey, IOSH Executive Director of
Membership said: “Safety and Health Expo is one of the biggest
conferences in the health and safety calendar. The event provides
us with a great opportunity to meet existing and potential members
and demonstrate to them what IOSH membership is really about.”
Visitors to the IOSH stand will have the opportunity to ask
questions about membership, CPD, IPD and will find all of the
information and resources they require about being health and
safety professional at their fingertips.
The stand also boasts a theatre where people can attend short
presentations on areas including the benefits of being an IOSH
member, free IOSH technical tools available to all and IOSH’s
training courses.
Hazel added: “IOSH offers members
information, advice and guidance, as well as access to like minded
health and safety professionals.
“Changes to health and safety may be fast
approaching and this, alongside the recently launched Occupational
Safety and Health Consultant’s Register (OSHCR), means that there
is no time like the present for health and safety professionals to
become members of the Institution.”
