IOSH Council Elections 2010

IOSH Members will be going to the ‘polls’
later this year to elect new Council members to represent
them. Successful candidates will join Council after the AGM
in November 2010 and serve for three years.
12 members are to be elected by all members of IOSH. The
12 will comprise at least nine corporate members (Chartered Fellow,
Retired Fellow, Chartered Member, Retired Member), and up to three
non-corporate members (Graduate Member, Technician Member,
Affiliate Member, Honorary Fellow).
Nomination forms are available from the chief executive’s office
by calling +44 (0)116 2573110, and must be completed and returned
by noon on Friday 28 May 2010. There is one electoral college and
corporate members can vote for non-corporate and vice versa.
Candidates can be nominated by two other members or by a
network.
Two retiring Members, Stephen Asbury and Bryan Toone, have
served continuously on Council for 12 years and are not eligible to
stand for Council this year. However, Stephen Asbury is
Chairman of the Professional Committee and will remain on Council
while he continues in that role.
