IOSH and Barbour collaboration gathers pace
18 July 2011
Since the news release in May there has
been much speculation with regard to the member benefits that will
be available on completion of the negotiations between IOSH and
Barbour.
IOSH executive director (commercial) Caroline
Holden said: “Members will get a package of topic-based resources
on a quarterly basis, with the first being about slips, trips and
falls.
“Only IOSH members will receive the packs,
which will be available for three months for members to download,
copy, paste or use in their entirety as required.”
Within the agreement it is also expected that members will
receive a dedicated email every three months with a link to a
resource pack. Within these packs tools will include the likes of a
Directors’ briefing – a one-page synopsis on a particular
specialist area designed to help you inform your senior management.
Other resources are likely to be employee factsheets and Toolbox
talks (presentations and hand-outs to support you and your
workforce training activities).
Caroline Holden added: “The finite details
are currently being discussed between Barbour and IOSH and the
final contract is expected to be signed by the end of the
month.
“As soon as the contract is signed more
details will be available to members via our website and connect –
watch this space.”
