Worker trapped between trains dies

A rail worker has died at Grosmont Station after becoming trapped between two trains.
The man, who is thought to be in his 60s, died at around 12.30pm on 21 May 2012.
The worker was a member of staff at the heritage railway that serves Grosmont Station. The line is part of North Yorkshire Moors Railway - a historic train line between Pickering and Whitby mainly used by steam trains.
A spokesman for British Transport Police (BTP) confirmed that the incident was reported to them at 12.30pm and is considered "non-suspicious". They went on to say that paramedics try to treat the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation is being conducted to find out what happened, and the Rail Accident Investigation Branch has been informed of the incident.
