Connect celebrates its centenary today
(Monday 20 August) and to mark the occasion we’re giving away a
free Google Nexus 7 tablet to one lucky reader.
All members have to do is email Connect editor with “I want to win a
tablet” in the subject line and the 100th member to do
so will win the tablet.
The
Nexus 7 is a new Android hand-held tablet that has access to
600,000 apps and games, millions of e-books and thousands of movies
– perfect for anyone who’s on the go.
Since its introduction in 2008, Connect has gone from
strength to strength, scooping an award just a few months after its
launch and consistently attracting more than 13,000 readers each
issue. For the past four years, Connect has played a key
role in keeping members regularly up-to-date with what’s going on
in their Branches and Groups, together with IOSH’s campaigns and
media work.
Ian Smart, IOSH Head of Communications, said:
“Connect has proved to be the number one vehicle when it comes to
member e-communications and we continue to make strides in
developing Connect to include more of our social media content and
to make it more accessible as technology moves on.“A major member
survey prior to the launch of Connect gave a clear indication that
more of a consistent and targeted approach to e-communications was
needed, and we’ve delivered on that.
