Here's what some of our members' told
us about the benefits of being part of a branch.
Comment from a member of the North of Scotland Branch:
"Working in the public sector presents
many challenges to ensure compliance with health and safety
legislation without impacting on the ability to provide an
effective service.
The work of the North of Scotland
branch complements the day to day business of a health and safety
professional such as myself. This is achieved by the effective
development of relevant updates, worthwhile presentations
critically dictated by members' needs and via the vast array of
learning outcomes and opportunities derived from networking with
fellow health and safety professionals.
Personally, being a member of such a
proactive branch with clear desirable objectives is essential to
effectively bridge the gap between theory and practice and aim for
continual improvement, thus benefiting myself as an individual and
more importantly offering visible business benefits to my
organisation".
Comment from a member of the South Downs Branch:
"I go to South Downs branch meetings
because of the camaraderie and fun. I enjoy the group's diverse
company, the speakers on so many subjects, networking, sharing of
best practice. I do not see how a practitioner can survive and not
go".
Comment from a South Downs Branch member - Construction
section:
"I think your group is probably the
best and most informative of all the meetings I attend. I
particularly enjoy the updates from Steve and the general
enthusiasm from the attendees. Long may it last - an excellent
forum".
