IOSH collaborates with the Romanian Association of Health and
Safety Professionals(ARSSM) on Bucharest Conference
July 2010
On 23 and 24 September 2010, the Romanian Association of Health
and Safety Professionals (ARSSM) will be hosting a conference at
the RIN Grand Hotel in Bucharest for health and safety
professionals from Romania and its neighbouring countries.
The conference, entitled ‘Working in Partnership for a safer and
healthier workplace’, will include contributions from the Romanian
Minister of Labour, the IOSH President, John Holden and the Chair
of the IOSH New Accession Countries initiative, Malcolm McIntyre.
Also representing the UK will be speakers from the HSE, Middlesex
University and Bovis Lend Lease. The conference will be in Romanian
and English with on site translation provided. For further
information regarding the conference programme, please visit the
ARSSM website.
The conference will focus on general principles, e.g. risk
management and occupational health, on day one, and will examine
implementation practices on day two. The key aim will be to bring
together health and safety professionals in Romania to share the
latest good practice and produce tangible outcomes like codes of
practice and safe working processes that can be used by Romanian
practitioners.
IOSH are co-sponsoring the conference as part of their
New Accession Country initiative.
