IOSH attendance at XXI International OSH Conference

Officer, and Paul Popescu, member of the IOSH New Accession
Countries Committee attended the XXI International OSH Conference
in the High Tatras, Slovakia, on 03-05 November 2008.
Laurence delivered a presentation about ENSHPO's new European
Certification standard and Paul about the IOSH Risk Management
Toolkit. Both presentations were very well received. Meetings were
also held with the Slovak Association for Safety and Health at Work
and Fire Protection and the Institute for Labour and Family
Research, as well as with contacts from the Technical University of
Košice. This provided an opportunity for the IOSH delegation to
learn more about the Slovakian organisations, to introduce IOSH and
discuss a potential co-operation.
The association has also formally applied to become an ENSHPO
member.
