IOSH Ireland Branch Conference and AGM: Best practice and
emerging issues

The IOSH Ireland Branch held its Annual Conference at
the Killashee House Hotel in Naas, County Kildare on the 18 June
2008.
The successful conference addressed topics of particular
interest to safety professionals in Ireland, including Managing
safety at sporting events, systems for working on roads, the
globally harmonised systems for classification and labelling,
manual handling training standards, a European OSH Management
Standard and safety and health gaps in the third level education
sector.
The Conference was preceded by a pre-conference dinner attended
by the Health and Safety Authority (HSA) Chief Executive, Martin
O'Halloran. IOSH President, Ray Hurst the Ireland Branch Committee,
speakers and guests.
