IOSH visits Slovakia

Laurence Dufour, International Affairs Officer and Paul Popescu, member of the IOSH 'New Accession Countries' Committee attended the XXI International Conference in the High Tatras, Slovakia on 03-05 November.

Laurence delivered a presentation about ENSHPO's new European Certification standard and Paul about IOSH Risk Management Toolkit. Both presentations were very well received. 

Meetings were also held with the Slovak Association for Safety and Health at Work and Fire Protection and the Institute for Labour and Family Research as well as with contacts from the Technical University of Kosice. This provided an opportunity for the IOSH delegation to learn more about the Slovakian organisations, to introduce IOSH and discuss a potential co-operation.

The association has also formally applied to become an ENSHPO member.
