IOSH symposium in Turkey a great success
27 September 2011
The IOSH Symposium at the 2011 World Congress in Turkey on
September 13 was a great success. The two hour symposium
themed "Designing out the risk" was attended by over 130 delegates.
With a programme of 5 presentations, the Symposium was
coordinated as part of the IOSH New Accession Countries initiative.
The programme consisted
of:
- A welcome by moderator Malcolm
McIntyre, IOSH New Accession Countries’ Chair. Malcolm's
presentation "Designing out the
risk" gave an overview of IOSH, the New Accession Countries
Initiative and the roles they perform
- Paul Popescu, a member of
the IOSH New Accession Countries working party unfortunately
could not attend the symposium so Malcolm McIntyre presented
on his behalf, Incorporating
Health & Safety in Design – UK and Global
perspective. Malcolm spoke about ROAD, Risk & Opportunity
at Design which is a risk management tool.
