IOSH attends ACOH Conference

IOSH's Head of Research and Technical Services, Dr Luise Vassie, attended the 19th Asian Conference on Occupational Health from the 17 – 19 September 2008 in Singapore.

Under the Conference theme, 'Redefining Occupational Health in the Face of Globalisation', Luise presented a paper on the Occupational Health Toolkit, highlighted the role of occupational health and safety practitioners in supporting occupational health. More details can be found on the website.

In addition, Luise met with representatives from the National University of Singapore, Singapore Polytechnic, the Singapore Institution of Safety Officers (SISO), and Ho Siong Hin, Commissioner for Workplace Safety and Health / Divisional Director and Dr Ho Sweet Far, Director of the OSH Specialist Department at the Ministry of Manpower.
