International

International development is an integral part of IOSH's vision: "a world of work which is safe, healthy and sustainable". We need to improve safety and health at work not only within the UK, but also in developing and newly industrialised countries.

IOSH develops internationally by promoting its key values, messages and services to the world and, where possible, by sharing its expertise with an international audience.

The International Department's current work areas include:

• developing and providing support to our International Branches - Caribbean, Hong Kong, Ireland, Isle of Man and the Middle East as well as members based outside the UK
• working with the International Group
• a secretariat role on initiatives and related activities: ENSHPO, New Accession Countries and INSHPO
• EU activity
• working with the ILO on the content of the ILO Encyclopedia
• arranging for key representatives of IOSH to present papers at international conferences, such as, InterConstruct, APOSHO, World Congress on Safety and Health at Work
• working with key stakeholders in the global OSH community on International development projects.
