The Code of Conduct and our members
IOSH is the world's largest body for health
and safety professionals. We aim to secure and justify public trust
and confidence in the work of our members by ensuring high levels
of technical competence and professional conduct.
The Code of Conduct applies to all member categories and to all
aspects of the performance of their health and safety functions. It
applies equally to those who carry out health and safety duties as
employees and those who have particular roles and responsibilities
as advisors, consultants, researchers, employers and providers of
education and training.
Our Code establishes rules of ethical practice; contains
guidance on a range of questions on ethical matters as they affect
members; and discusses 'professional conduct'. The Code's
requirements and supporting guidance demonstrate our commitment to
upholding and enhancing the good standing of the profession.
