Tim Carter
Current position: Chief Medical Adviser,
Maritime and Coastguard Agency
Qualifications: PhD, FRCP, FFOM, CFIOSH
Experience: Tim's experience covers research
management in the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) and Department
for Transport (DfT), investigative work in government, academic and
consultancy settings and bidding for funds as a consultant and for
international professional associations. He is an honorary
vice-president of IOSH.
Research interests:
- evidence base for policy and practice in occupational health
and transport safety, including the assessment of risks and the
effectiveness of intervention
- history of occupational disease prevention.
