Qualifications: MD, MSc, FRCP, FRCP (G), FFOM,
CFIOSH, JP
Experience: A consultant occupational
physician, Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of
Birmingham, and former Professor of Occupational Medicine in the
Royal Navy and University of Bradford, Grant has long experience in
conducting and managing successful major research projects. He has
published influential papers on asbestos-related diseases, health
of welders, occupational lung cancer, manganese disease and knee
disorders in miners.
Research interests:
- relationship between work and wellbeing
- safeguarding and improving the wellbeing of older workers
- improving the coordination of safety arrangements throughout
the supply chain
- reducing unnecessary wear and tear of workers through
design.
